Lord, your goodness always amazes my heart. The joy and delight to feast upon your word always delights my soul. A sweet taste from the sweet manna from heaven. The daily bread I seek, nourishing my soul. O' How I delight in your word and can not get enough of it. Let the power of your word engulf me, my Lord. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)
Feed me, Holy Spirit, on the precepts of the Lord. Let His words be a flame to my heart. Teach me the teachings of Christ Jesus and let it be written upon my heart. Let me never forget your words, but forever, saved deep within my thoughts. Let your words be the source of my life as I give worship to you.
Transform my heart as you speak upon my soul. Let me delight and be joyfully filled in the wonders of Jesus Christ. For he is the living word, created in flesh, sacrificing his life, setting us free from the torments of sin. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
It is your word that I find comfort, peace, and joy through the battles of life. It is your word that transforms my attitudes to the beatitudes spoken long ago. Your word inspires me and makes my heart sing. To proclaim the wonders of the Lord. For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints, and marrow. It is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrew 4:12)
Your word reveals the trueness of your love, the nature of your being! To truly know the son, delivers me to the Father's hand. Your word reveals the true nature of my soul, a wretchen soul, begging for a Savior. I need you daily in my life to walk me through the pains of the world.
It is through the Scriptures that your words flow triumphantly through my veins. You, Lord, are my source, my life, and the goodness of my heart. Thank you, Heavenly Father, through the precious name of Jesus Christ, our living and powerful word. Let the power of your word always be within me! Let the Holy Spirit always be with me in guiding me to hear you speak.
Speak, Lord! Command and instruct our paths! Thank you, Jesus, for showing us the will of the Father.
Amen!
