Work Together For The Good

My brothers and sisters, we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:28‬, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 CSB‬)

When it is in your power, don’t withhold good from the one to whom it belongs. A generous person will be enriched, and the one who gives a drink of water will receive water. God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him. (Proverbs 3:27‬, Proverbs 11:25, 1 John 4:9 CSB‬)

As God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ. (Colossians 3:12‬, Colossians 3:23-24 CSB‬)

He has told each of you what is good and what it is the Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8 CSB‬)

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to give recognition to those who labor among you and lead you in the Lord and admonish you, and to regard them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 CSB‬)

My dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (‭1 Corinthians 15:58 CSB‬) As God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive. (Colossians 3:12-13 CSB‬)

Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Don’t neglect to do what is good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices. (Philippians 2:4‬, ‭Philippians 2:3, Hebrews 13:16 CSB‬)

My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Let all bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander be removed from you, along with all malice. And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ. (James 1:19‬, Ephesians 4:31-32 CSB‬)

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing. Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:11‬, Philippians 4:6-7 CSB‬)

I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you. Taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the person who takes refuge in him! So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in him, being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude. (‭Philippians 1:3, Psalms 34:8, Colossians 2:6-7 CSB‬)

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven. (Galatians 6:10‬, Matthew 5:16 CSB‬)
