I'd thought I would share this article and add a little of my testimony on how the Lord guided me to praying in the Spirit.

Many have heard or been told to pray in the Spirit. It is easy to tell someone to pray in the Spirit, but how many have taken the time to show how one prays in the Spirit. I didn't, that is for sure. I was told we groan out words, but is that truly praying in the Spirit? No, it is much more and may my testimony and this article be a guide to truly understanding praying in the Spirit.

During my crushing moments in 2018, it was the will of the Heavenly Father to show me how to pray in the Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit, I was taught it is a prayer from the heart. When I poured out all that was upon my heart (My stress, my worries, my doubts, my fears), I came to realize I am as helpless as my son, Braeden.

How he was helpless in providing his own needs and needed us to provide. We are the same way in this world. We are not in control, but influenced by others to make it through life.

When we confess what's truly upon our hearts, it is then, a connection takes place between us and God. We feel emptied of the burdens upon our heart, and is given to the Holy Spirit to take these burdens to the Lord. I remembered a comfort sweeping my soul, as I poured out to the Lord and confess my need for Him. We are reminded in Psalm 56:8, "Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll—are they not in your record?"

It is through the outpouring of our heart, that allows the Holy Spirit to intercede for us.

Through our tears, we are confessing the need, our help from our Heavenly Father. It is through these tears, and confession, that truly opens the throne of heaven and witness His glory before our eyes.

Just as it was written in this article, when he prayed in the spirit in his living room, his vision, no longer fixed on the living room, but before the throne of God. It is this same experience I witnessed many times over.

What then transpires is no longer a cry of need, but a sense to give praise. To give honor, and to give thanks to our Lord and King. We start to give praise and honor the King. In shame and humility before His great presence. It is then we feel the embrace of His arm as He lifts us up and brings comfort.

A communion takes place, and our hearts are filled with joy and assurance that everything going to be OK. It is His loving voice that soothes our soul and we realize nothing else matters, but to give homage and glory to God.

Then we let Him speak as we ask for Him to teach us, guide us, provide for us what we need. It is these instructions of the King that moves us to His wisdom to move forward from the storms.

I have faced many storms, especially as I weather through this storm. Storms bring us to our knees, and reminds us of our need in Jesus. It is He who is willing to come into these storms and direct us when we are ready to let it all go.

He is a good and faithful King. Our Heavenly Father's goodness shines great when we surrender to His plans, His ways.

May this article be a blessing and truly take the journey to pray in the Spirit. It is alright to confess your needs to our Lord. It is exactly what He desire.

Good bless and peace to you all!
